This isn't quite what I had originally had in mind when I saw this topic. I had visions of hiking in the woods and capturing some type of awesome early morning light through the trees. But it doesn't look like I'll manage something like that any time soon. So I'll post this one - it seems to reflect my mood at the moment.

The view out my window, taken today:

selection removed - I'm submitting a new picture. While the one that was posted here did a good job of capturing that cabin-bound/snowy weather blues, it's not exactly what I had in mind for this month. I have another one that I thought was more what I wanted to post - see below for my entry.

An interesting shot, and I don't even mind the flare. It looks like it would be easy to clone out if you wanted to, but somehow it adds to the feeling of hot summer days at the ocean. I very much like it!

Some wonderful and intriguing moods in all the great photos already posted!

Here's one that might be an exhilarating mood - a large rock in the midst of Millstone Creek Falls:

I was shooting a 30th birthday party when the birthday boy himself gave me this shot that I thought fit this challenge perfectly.

Shot with K-7, Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, Pentax 540 flash.

I know this isn't exactly moody..but it lifted my mood when the sun started breaking thru after a week of gloom and fog.To me the tree almost looks happy the sun is coming out..and happiness is a mood,eh..

Kashka - that's an awesome picture. While you see the tree looking happy at the sunlight, I see the solitude, a winter world gone south for the season, leaving the one tree to stand alone. It's full of mood, I love it.
