Thank you Stevie and Hans. I really appreciate the comments.

BTW Harriet... if you see this, I did some focus testing on the 12-24 and sure enough I had a problem. to start with, I some how had a focus adjustment setting of -10 on the camera (I don't remember setting it) when I got through testing I ended up with a +5 so I'm hoping for better results.

LOL! No wonder you had an issue - should improve considerably, but do take the time to shoot real-world subjects. My DA 50-135 always looked fairly good when I would shoot most focus charts, but in the real world, there was a very slight backfocus. I adjusted it at the same time I did the 12-24 and so while the charts didn't necessarily show the focus issue, real-world pictures are better. Hope you find a "new" lens in it.

GW - he is a cutie, and well-captured too. The shadows and dark background really help isolate the subject very well.

He's so cute. And, I think the shadows add to the images making him stand out more.
