Default Ice Breaker

Ice on the St Clair was slowing freighter travel so I had to go see, disappointed not to see a large freighter just a barge with 2 tugs and the Ice Breaker Penobscot Bay

The flags in certain sequence tell other ships of their movement intent.

Sorry none of the above images show the river edge, this one does, it's M29 it follows the river it's entire length

I've never even imagined things getting that cold. Nicely captured.

Looks very cold out there. I wouldn't want to be in that water.

According to http://www.marinewaypoints.com/learn/flags/flags.shtml the flags mean:

No or negative
Directing course to port (or coming alongside)
I require a pilot!!!!
I'm dragging my anchor (or ship has visual communications duty)

Sure sounds confusing to me. Or, that the Coast Guard ship is in need of help!
