I like #1. I find reviewing photos on a screen is very sketchy. I find the darks always look darker when you print a photo. A printed photo shows subtle differences in tone and brigtness much better then viewing on line. I also find that noise that looks anoying on line vanishes in a good print.

Hmmm... Interesting to know Ed. I hadn't thought about that, however I did notice that the photos I posted did not show as much difference as the ones I have prior to putting them on line. Thanks for the info!

GW I can see very little difference between the 3. After carefully looking at them several times I guess # 3 for me as well.

It took me numerous times of looking at them. And, maybe it's just my laptop, but I'm not seeing much difference in 1 & 3, but 2 is definitely too dark in my opinion.

i cant tell the difference on the computer at work either
maybe i need to ask for a new screen lol

personally i like to see a bit of a difference between the buildings and the sky, and for the water to be a bit darker
so if one is like that i will pick that one lol

Thanks guys,
Yeah, the difference is even more subtle viewing on the internet than on my computer so, I guess you'll just have to take my word for it, they are different and Yes, #3 looks best.

Hello Nathan, I see you're new here. Welcome to the forum.

Hey there, Goldwinger.

Yes, there IS a difference between your three photos. Not that could be labeled 'distinctively' so, but none the less a difference. That is not to say that the other two were bad, either - but that the third one warranted (IMO anyway) the trophy .

I have been around these parts for a little while. It's just that I had to set up a new account because of problems that I had making changes to my old one. But your warm welcome was nice - anyway .

I like the last one because it is just a bit brighter and seems to be what one would see with the naked eye. Over all very nice composition capturing what makes the scene so pretty to begin with.

Hi GW. Lovely photo but ..... although you say you have not altered the top half of pic #1 in PP of #3 there is a definite softening of the starburst effect on the street lights and trees and personally I like the sharper #1. I would go for the bottom half of #3 and the top half of #1
