Default Yes, we have snow in Florida...

Well, OK, Snowy egrets anyhow.

The sun was high and bright so the highlights are blown but, this little guy just ignored me while he shuffled his feet stirring things up from the bottom and darting his head in and grabbing food to eat.

Most of the time his head was just a blur...

I liked this shot just as he came back up out of the water...

After going a ways in one direction, he turned and went back the other way with a light breeze at his back lifting his feathers just a little.

then a stiff breeze came up!

Hope you enjoyed these in spite of the blown highlights.

The last one is the one that shows the blown highlights, the others look pretty good on my monitor. And you had to include that last one - it's so funny! A nice series, I especially like the first and next to last ones.

Great shots. I don't mind the blown highlights on the last one and as a matter of fact I like it best because of the pose and affect the wind had on the bird's feathers.

Thanks guys,
Glad you like them. I have to confess, I used a little... well OK a lot, of PP to get them presentable. #3 had an OOF branch running from top right to bottom left that took a little work to reduce the effect. Funny, I didn't even notice it in the viewfinder.

I think the highlights look very good considering how bright the sun was. Very nice shots!

BTW, This was the one I meant to post, with a little extra pp.
It might be a little too dark but, the highlights look better.

White birds are tough in the bright sun - you handled them well. the last one shows you why birds usually face into the wind when it is blowing hard.
