Default Some recent park rambles

Have been gone for about a week at some Ranger training - far from computers ( ) and also not able to take a lot of photos. But here are a few wintry shots taken at odd moments between classes, etc.

First some signs of a fellow "rambler," some fox tracks across the snowy field:

Early morning the icy fog made for some interesting views. Here are some Geese fleeing me!

Frost on the plants made it tough for the "critters," but pretty for us wanderers...

Some of the birds were much bolder than at home, so a good chance to get a bit closer - to the Crows, the Bluejays, and the Yellow Rumped Warblers.

Had a fine chance to watch this Red Bellied Woodpecker eating (I think I'll post most of that series over at the Wildlife section of the forum).

All the snowmelt and then all the rain have been great for fungus and lichens. Both flourish in the cool and damp of the dark February woodlands!
