Nice captures of the snow! When it coats the trees like that it is beautiful.

More coming our way today. Snow wise it has been a mild winter here, but deep cold we have had in abundance. Only 1 1/2 months to go and it will be pretty much over.

Thanks for the comments all.

Harriet: I only remember one day in 2005 when I had to stay home since the county declared a snow emergency which made it illegal to be on the roads. The snow usually is not the problem in these parts--it's when we have ice storms that it gets interesting. I expect we will have one in March as we usually do each year. They are a photographer's dream as well. Normally the snow melts in a few days, but yesterday's 7 inches over the 8 we already had now makes for a decent base which will be around for a while. It's Winter--it's supposed to be this way

Jim: Unusual for Kentucky to have more snow than Buffalo!

Mole: Good one about the White Witch!! Did not run into her or her minions. I thought we'd see some deer down by the creek, but not this day.

No. 1 is excellent, but better to admire from afar! I like the Narnia analogy - very appropriate..

Beautiful jelpee,
As long as I can sit here and look at photos, I like snow!

Thanks Pen and GW...I enjoy the change in seasons and take in the beauty of them all. As Harriet remarked, similar to parts of California, in these parts the snow does not last all Winter as it does in the northern states which makes it nice.
