Default Since I can't go anywhere

Just had a resection of my prostate so I'm not allowed to drive, work or go on trips. I'm restricted to picking up less than 10 pounds and cannot strain or bend over or do most anything for a while. This stricture has me going through cabin fever....so today I talked my wife into letting me sit on the front porch and shoot some photos ...From a tripod of all things......she set it up and I used it and here they are...several sets here. Humor me...I'm in pain...LOL

Hang in there, Big Dawg. Hope you heal-up quickly.

After recently getting back into photography and into this digital stuff, I've put out some bird feeders around the yard and I've been pleasantly surprised with the work it's been keeping them full! I'm really enjoying watching the birds, watch me, as they do their thing. My [indoor] cat enjoys watching, too.

I like the first two of each set - those guys looks like cool characters.

The Cardinals are the bullys of the feeder till the big Woodpeckers or Blue Jays show up. Right now the wife will haul the seed out to the feeders and then I can load the feeders. Then she hauls the seed back in the house...Needless to say she is not a Happy Camper.

Hello bigdawg! First, I hope you will be on the mend soon. All the best to you and a speedy recovery. Secondly, I like these pictures, but it is the fifth one that I really enjoy. the lighting (background) DOF, even the jok'n expression on the bird's face... that is one cool photo! Well done!

My family & I will be praying for your quick & complete recovery!

Glad you have some feeders (and a wonderful wife) to keep you distracted...

As always, your bird photos are excellent - sharp & bright and full of personality.

Our Cardinals are bullies too - towards other species and towards each other as well. Have noticed a realy bully behavior at our feeder - they will rush at another bird, beak open & hissing!

Hey Ed!
Sorry to hear your about your restrictions and hope you mend quickly. I understand how aggravating that can be. Sure can't complain about the photos though, the tripod is a hassle but, sure helps at the long end of the Big-Ma!

Get well soon my friend.

Bigdawg sorry to hear of your Prostate problems. Hope you are on the mend and feeling better each day. Perhaps this is the rest you need after the crazy hours you were working although it's a tough way to get it.

Your bird pictures as always are a pleasure to see. Thanks for sharing them.

My best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.

Lou
