How far away did you have to be to shoot that 1st one - the EXIF says the full 500mm so how far was that in yards / metres ?

It was only abot 10 meters.

Great shots of the G-Blue, I did make it to your area over the weekend but couldn't talk the grand kids out of my brothers pool and into the park. Oh well maybe next time.
