Default A few photos with a Pentax-F 50mm f/1.7 lens.

Got this for a wedding I've been asked to shoot. I still need to practice a bit more.

Based on thsese you don't need any practice-they are fantastic. #1 is the best IMHO. Just do it!!

Thanks Guys but I do feel I have room for improvement.

Here is one more that I processed and resized in Photofiltre. A small contrast adjustment is all I did. No sharpening or color adjustment. As you can see I got too close and missed the focus point.

Great job, BD. Your granddaughters are getting lovelier by the year. I'm sure with only a little more practice you'll get the focus point right on. Your compositions are wonderful.

Nice shots, I also like #1 best, My G-kids are about the same age and I like using my A 50 1.7 at the fire pit at twilight (see avatar), nice focal length for portraits and the speed and dof help.

It does look like the focus is a hair off in a couple of them, but for the most part these are excellent. If you are unsure of the focus point, you might want to stop down the lens a bit more to make sure you don't miss it. Your first one is really lovely.

Your twins are going to be absolute heart-breakers very shortly. I hope their father owns a good shot-gun.

Ed, the facial expressions say it all, the first one is perfection capturing expression... man, what high quality you have for a lense.

Many thanks.
