Now that one really does look better, although I wasn't criticizing your other photos, just commenting on how in some locations, you just can't capture the full effect of the scenery in a photograph no matter what. I think this is one of those places. Of course, having to hike all the way up the trail helps you appreciate it all the more!

wonderful photos
you must really enjoy your hikes
i liked the small flowers and the mayflies, great macros
and the waterfall photos are really great
i like the comparison with the autumn one
i went for a pushbike ride to two of our waterfalls a couple of weeks back
and after a long dry summer (except for one day) they are just rocks

GW - I agree completely - no photo (at least no photo of mine) can come close to the real scene.
