Default Macro vs. Macro zoom...

Just some information...
I thought this article was a good one to explain the two lenses especially for new comers to the world of macro.

Interesting article. Appropriate for me with all my recent searches for the "true" macro.

I was going to order the new pentax 100 macro WR but called it off because I can't find any extension tubes for pentax, why is that?

Hercules : they are out there. Either Pentax's own (rare & expensive) or 3rd party in the PK mount, varying prices gets you variable quality / functions.

Only ones to Chinese sites like EBay I'm afraid !

I'm thinking of starting a business selling photographic equipment to Europe / USA because I see the retail prices charged by HK EBay stores in the USA (they are on Ebay so you should be able to find them with the right keywords) and know that even retail they are usually much cheaper to buy in China (none OEM), never mind wholesale.

Thanks, will these work with the new 100mm macro WR?
also kind of cheap, the kenko tubes for canon run 180.00 euro.

Good heavens - you used to be able to get new extension tubes at either B&H or Adorama. However, I just looked and there are none listed! Adorama does have a bellows for sale right now in their used department section. That wouldn't work with the new 100 mm WR lens, though.

The WR lens does not have an aperture ring - you'd have to get extension tubes that have contacts. I know that they have been made in the past (I almost bought a set several years ago). Amazing how all these neat things are stuff you USED to be able to get.
