Sounds like some good news..... problem is when you get the camera because you've done so well with the Nokia we are expecting amazing things.... so don't disappoint

I hear ya, Mark! At first, when I first uploaded my Nokia phone camera pictures, I wondered if I was going drive anyone around the twist... but they seemed to be favourably received. Now I am reading up on the K7 manual. I hope to order the K7 on the 17... My accountant is going to help me with the ordering since he is Finn... Mark, he found a company for me to order from... when all the financial dust settles, I will get the K7 for the price of a Kx... Holy cats.

Many kind thanks and all the best to you and yours.

Ned

Your photos have shown that it is not all about the camera, but also the photographers eye. You have produced better results from that phone than some people can do with some pretty serious kit, so now you are getting the serious kit we should be in for a treat.

I would say one thing (well I will try to keep it to only one), you might find quite a learning curve with DOF and possibly some of the settings, but don't let that put you off (I don't think it will). As you already know, there is a great bunch here happy to help out in any way possible, we've all had some difficulties I'm sure and no one knows everything (I sometimes like to think I do LOL).

I'm impressed how patiently you've waited, anyone who has been around here for a while will know I'm Mr. Impulse, I've bought a few cameras and lenses just because I thought they were a good idea.... or sometimes just because I went to a camera shop and they looked pretty/exciting/fun..... oops.

Sounds good, Ned. Now, just to be patient just a little longer. And, then we see some of your neck of the woods.

Many thanks, Mark. Yep, I know there will be a learning curve. But Harriet had a great idea some time back about downloading the manual... so I am already at. The camera will be a neat challenge. Many thanks for your kind words.

Thanks, Patty, and these neck of the woods are really beautiful. I would like to get up to Lapland, wow, those dudes are a like a Scandinavian version of Indians (the way sing sounds like American Indians), and they dress in such colour clothes... That would be a cool photo tour.

Thanks.
