Default Two Red Heads and Chick

Always keep aware of what is around you. On Friday I went to check on the Eagle's Nest I have been following and got a totaly unexpected opportunity. On my way home I spotted these Sandhill Cranes feeding on the side of the road. Stopping did not scare them off, they just kept on searching for food.

Nice opportunity, well taken advantage of. In the last three, they do look as if they are definitely aware of you!

Nice work Ed.
What amazes me is how big the chicks eyes are compared to the adults!

Amazing to think that the chick will grow up to look like the adults, it doesn't look possible. Good shots!
