Default A couple more shots of the May beetle...

I've been doing a little more editing and getting a few more shots I think are worth sharing. Hope you enjoy.

This one is posted without any cropping so you can get an idea of what the size of the whole image was...

Same shot at 100% crop of the head. I think. This is all of image I could fit in the frame at that resolution. note the grated screen look of the eye.

Another 100% crop. Not all that exciting but, I wanted you to see the tiny droplet of water middle right, I didn't know water could bead that tiny. the other bright specks are from moisture also.

And this one is him as he's going under for the third time...

In this shot, he just wants a hug.

Thanks for looking, guys. hope you liked them.

Hi GW,

You're killin' me !!!

I know I'm weird, putting words into the mouths of birds and squirrels, but posing a dead bug -- there's got to be something illegal about this -- but it is funny! I'd consider getting some props and putting together some circus shots -- or you could dress it in clothes. . .I've got to start getting more sleep. . .

Best shots yet fella! the detail is superb, and you are getting the right amount of contrast/detail/colour (for me)

LOL @ Scott, I think you could have some silly fun with this bug!

Thanks guys, I enjoyed playing around with this series. glad you did too.
Scott, you need help more than I do! Guess I could make some virtual macro clothes... hmmm, could make a whole line of clothing and name it after you. Lets see... a pair of Scott jeans and a Scott pull over sport shirt. yeah has a nice ring to it don't you think?
We could make it into a cartoon series and go syndicated.
This could be big! Lets have lunch and talk.

Hi GW,

Can dispute that! I've always wanted a clothing line named after me, but it'd have to be cargo pants and Henley shirts. . . -- the market would be huge, and think about it -- who needs clothes more than the cold-blooded. . .

I think that we should go with the current trends and follow Simon Cowell's lead and do an "Arthropod's got Talent" and "Arthropoda Idol" series. Ya can't buck success. . . Then when these get stale -- we can move on to Arachnids . . . then on to Amphibians -- the sky's the limit!

I'm going to announce auditions. . . at your place -- expect visitors -- lots of them. . .

BTW, I got so caught up in the humor that I didn't mention that the series is some impressive macro work!

Scott

LOL. We better watch out, they will be coming to take us away real soon if we aren't careful!
And BTW, thank you very much for the complement!
