Default Bigdawg, Robar, other Viv Srs 1 Fans

I just found and ordered me a mint condition Vivitar Series 1 105 2.5mm, with leather hardcase included. Canon FD mount, ordered my adapter for use on my EPL-1.

got a heck of a price on it, i hope mint means mint, but it just appeared the guy didn't really know what he had...

I know it's not Pentax and all, but I figured you guys would appreciate it.

I will post some pics of it, and from it when I get it.

Hope you love it as much as I love mine - wonderful macro lens. Pretty good for other things, too. You are SO lucky if you got it at a good price - the Pentax ones are going for over $300 now.

Thanks you two, I am looking forward to trying it out when it gets here. Going to be a bit front heavy on the EPL1 lol. But I have only seen and heard good things about this lens, and has the advantage over the 90 2.5 of not needing the mulitplier to get to 1:1.

FD mount is advantageous pricewise, the pentax are definately the most expensive, followed by the olympus.

My Viv 105 is my sharpest lens. Truly a great lens well deserving it's legendary status. Hope your's is mint. But even a well used one of these are very good. Have some fun with it and post the photos.

I am not ambitious as Hards, I've gotten uses to auto aperture with dials and buttons. Have not shot a manual aperture lens in 1989 before my canon AE-1 got stolen.

bigdawg, shoturtle, frogfish.

yea, i am fully expecting to enjoy it. i wanted something with bigger working distance than my canon 60mm, so i am looking forward to the 105mm with the 2x m4/3 crop factor. i will be sure to post some pics of the lens and examples as soon as i can. i really hope the seller ships today, and amazon sends me my adapter
