my oh my mole. you have outdone yourself on this set. best set you have posted in my opinion. there are so many great photographs here.

the lush greens of the first post is great. i love the contrast and saturation from the slightly darker exposure.

the purple flower of the 2nd post is really nice. great contrast, great colors, nice dof.

i love the 2nd shot of "Big branch falls", the rock in the foreground balances it out really nicely.

"big laurel falls" superb. love the framing in #1, and just absolutely love #3 with the reflection in the puddle.

the red eft is very cute. shot #1 is a winner

The last image of "virgin falls" is superb. the framing from the lush greens all around it, plus the smooth water, and pleasing perspective. wall-hanger.

the last post, all 3 images are composed so very well, each of them is truly a winning shot, with great perspective, saturation and smooth water. i go back and forth between #1 and #3. #1 is just classicly composed, but the vertical format of #3 is very unique.

anyways, just an excellent thread. you can't get much better than this for so many images. makes me want to visit badly. a gorgeous place which you captured well.

In this age of rampant development, it is heartening to see that so many fine wild areas are preserved in your state, and you document them so well.

Pepe le Peu was getting his back up - I guess you got out of there in time?

We have a skunk that digs in our flower gardens and compost bin every night for grubs - she was late getting out of the yard the other morning, but she climbed (!) over the fence and got away before I could get out with my camera. I say she, because she was about as broad as she was long - I expect she will be back with the whole litter before long!

I can only echo what everyone else has said - these really are awesome! It starts with that beautiful green color and goes on from there, each bringing more delight. Hope you were able to avoid the skunk's scent, but otherwise, they are kind-of cute, too. That one sure looks bedraggled, all wet. Love the shots.

Wow...what a place! Mole, you certainly get the most out of your equipment. I love your images and these are no exception. Do you do any kind of HDR processing to pull out the shaded areas w/o over exposing the bright spots?

Wow is right!
Most magnificent series Mole, I sure do hope I can manage another trip up there this fall.

Ya know... I've taken photos of all sorts of wild animals, gators, bobcats, fox, bears, elk and so on. None of it bothers me but, I draw the line when it comes to skunks!

Falls and ponds excel. Beautiful picks.
