Default Kiron 70-210

Just playing with my Kiron 70-210 manual lens today. Got it cheap and haven't used it much even though it's got some really sharp glass. These are shot at F8.

These 2 of my son were shot at 70mm

This one was shot at 210mm, he was up on a wire above my garage.

Looks good! I have an old Kiron 80-200 that's pretty sharp but has oil on the aperture blades. This looks sharper than mine (though mine is hard to tell), very nice.

Great lens and shots, got the same with the only difference that it's a vivitar.

Cheers

Ditto, the f/3.5 Series 1 Version 1, which cost me all of US$33 on the bay (including shipping). I read recently of someone traveling in India for 3 months with just a Pentax K10D and the Kiron-Vivitar, delighted with every image they shot. But it weighs 880g, so be careful not to drop it on small animals or feet.

Thank you all for the kind words. RioRico, yes, definitely a heavy lens, these older lenses are beasts, you really get a workout carrying them around. I had actually listed this lens for sale about a month ago but surprisingly no one bit on it. But I managed to make up all the money I needed so I decided to keep it anyway, glad I did.
