The woodpecker shot is mesmerising ! Love it. Great bokeh too - that lens is still very sharp at 500mm isn't it !

Nice shots dawg!

Love the woodpecker, and the last one (some sort of finch?)

I keep hearing a woodpecker when I go for my walk around the lake, but not caught sight of him yet, and would definitely need something like the bigma to be able to see him.

I have to go with the previous remarks, really like the woodpecker, then that yellow one

I normally don't like taking pictures of birds on their feeding spots, but those seed casings make a great background.

Doing my best to keep my lba down, and that K7 looks to be working perfectly

Cheers

Ronny

Nice set here BD

I really liked the finch shot myself. nice contrast of the yellow on against the trees, very natural looking shot. Think you could crop just a bit off the right side even.

All of these are excellent, but the woodpecker really stands out against that creamy smooth bokeh.

Glad to see that you & the birds are still getting along so well! All of these are great photos - I especially like the Goldfinch for the color & composition, and for the subtle view of the habitat behind the sharp view of the "critter!"

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I'm working 7 days a week right now and not much time for the photos. These from the front porch are about all I have time for.

Really great shots, but I'm amazed the the American Goldfinch in summer colors. You're as far, or further, south as I, but my goldfinches head out in April; I never see them in summer coloration.
