Default Some Young'uns

All the warmth, sun & rain in the East Tennessee hills these past weeks have really brought out lots of young things in the landscape!

Fresh green fields are just bursting with young Rabbits - not quite as shy as the adults...

Marshy places are full of lots of newly-emerged dragonflies and damselflies.
Here are some Ebony Jewelewings and some Pondhawks, all recently out of their "baby stage" of life.

And some others that just became adults - these are tiny ones (perhaps Dragonlets), but I am not yet sure on the identification. They sure were hiding well among the marsh grasses & cattails!

And a just-fledged Yellow Throated Vireo, who perched very nicely on a folding chair in our park's campground. Isn't he cute!!

Will be out on the trail (and on the bicycle) the next few days, so not able to check in here for a while. Hope you enjoyed these new young'uns as much as I did! Thanks for any comments, critique, suggestions...

A great set as always - love the dragonflies, but the Vireo shots are special ! Pity you cropped off the parent's tail in the last photo ? Still a wonderful shot though !

Fantastic!

The first 2 dragonflies from the 3rd post are particularly great, looks like the leaves are backlit, so brings out the dragonflies even more.

Saw my first dragonfly today when out with the nipper, so they have arrived at last!
