Default Burrowing Owls

I photographed these birds in Brian Piccolo Park, Pembroke Pines, Florida, last July. I returned to check them out and found more nest sites there then last year. These Owls are tiny, but seem to have no trouble digging burrows through the Grass roots. Note on second photo, there is a dead frog at the feet of the owl in this photo, it was standing tall to prtect its catch. I relented and did not have frogs legs.

Beautiful shots of an interesting bird. Wish I could afford myself a DA* 300... Would have even more fun at the race track.

I just can't decide, #1 looks very noble, #2 looks menacing, #3 looks cute, and #4 just wow, the eyes and the pose!
