Default Honey Bee & Other Macro Shots

Usually a stroll around my garden produces little - today was truly a red letter day though !

Despite lovely hot weather for the last few weeks there has been little sign of the Summer insects, but today I saw my first 3 bees, my first damsel / dragon fly (I must look up the difference - apart from the wings) and what I believe to be a moth, disguised as a wasp, laying eggs AND a Mantid !

So the tragic Damsel, the friendly Mantid, & the pre-occupied Moth will each get their own threads once I've processed the shots but to get the ball rolling, and before I shoot something else, get distracted and these get left behind ........

#1 - Bee on Flowering Bush
#2 - Ant Stalking Aphid (for interest not the low quality of the shot)
#3 - Ant capturing Aphid (for interest not the low quality of the shot)
#4 - Mosquito (tragically it didn't survive my efforts to shoot it).

#5 - There are spiders in the bamboo grove behind my house that build webs like envelopes (the spider is hidden between the layers - you can just spot it in the very centre of the shot).
#6 - They are quite nervous too - he dashed straight off as soon as the first flash went off !
