Default Birds of Prey at Hawk Creek

Today a local raptor and wildlife rescue organization opened their doors to the public. Was a nice opportunity to photograph some beautiful animals. Hawk Creek Website

And my weak attempt to capture a bird in flight...

These are great Mike!
And the BIF is really not bad at all.

Thanks GW, as far as the BIF, I should have gone with a faster shutter speed, but live and learn. I do plan on getting up close again with these birds in August. This place has a day set aside just for photographing the animals, there is limited signup and I got my spot today, so I'm looking forward to getting another chance to photograph these wonderful animals.

Great stuff, really like nr1 , especially those drops.

The background isn't what you want, but that you can get rid of

Would love to have taken any of those shots.

cheers

Ronny

Love #3 Mike & the BIF is excellent AFA I am concerned, the face is sharp and the blurred wings show the action.

Thank you Ronny, the lady handling the owl in #1 was spritzing him with water to keep him cool so it added a little to the shot. I get another chance to shoot these beautiful birds on August 28 so I'll try to keep the nasty background out of the shot.

I was hoping for some better BIF shots from the show but my timing wasn't right on. Thank you for the kind words.

A great assortment of wonderful photos! You sure captured the spirit of these raptors!

(PS - if you are ever down our way, I'll be glad to let you photograph my captive raptors. None are flighted, but all are good posers...)
