We bought this plant; Bee Balm, at a garage sale over in MadMikeSS neighborhood for 50 cents.

I'd say you got a deal, Jim.
I love yard sales.

Interesting looking plant Jim. We are now in the time of year when block sales and block parties are just about everywhere every weekend. Our street will be doing their near the end of July if I remember correctly. It's fun to wander through and see what folks are selling but it can be a hassle with the narrow streets in Kenmore.

Funny - we were at a neighborhood sale in the Doncaster / Leicester Roads area near Ken West HS, with cars parked on both sides of the narrow streets. One fellow refused to yield to about 8 cars coming from the opposite direction and there was gridlock until a woman challenged him to get out of his car so she could knock him out. It was a bizare scene in such a nice neighborhood.

Very nice. When it gets a little crowded on my street the Kenmore cops come along and chase everyone away. Takes all the fun out of it.

You'll love the bee balm. Ours attracts bees as you would expect, but hummingbirds also love it. Careful, though; it can crowd out nearby plants.

Nice rich photo - love the accuracy and depth of color! Must agree with Placematters - bee balm grows wild in the damp mt meadows here, and is a magnet for bees, butterflies & hummingbirds. But, given the proper growing conditions, it sure can crowd other plants out!
