Default Macro example fro Mackloon...

Hey Mack,
I just wanted to post these examples of what you can do with limited gear.
I just realized your 55-300 is the DAL and mine is the DA, so, I'm not sure what the IQ difference is,if any. I took these two shots of a customers dirty keyboard so I could show him how much gunk can get in there and mess things up.
(he couldn't figure out why his computer wasn't working.) Anyway, the first shot is at 55mm with a Raynox macro lens clipped on the front of the 55-300. you can pick these up for about $50 on eBay. The second shot is at 300mm of just the letter "M" just so I could see how far I could go with this set up. This is a hand held shot and the DOF is extremely shallow so, as I was weaving back and forth trying to get in focus and took the shot I was a bit off but, you can still get an idea of the capabilities of this lens. Both are the full un-cropped image.

Yes, they sure are.
Wish I had gotten one a long time ago.

Never got the hang of using extention tubes, those Raynoxes are to easy to use in comparison with them.
