Default high-end from Utilitarian

Taken from a state ferry Kaleetan, while on the way to San Juan Island. The Site has stripped all the EXIF information so:
K20D, f/8, 1/200, ISO-100, Kit Lens @ 32mm

Some really cool pictures here - love both the trolley and the gold paint on the custom car.

I've been waiting to see one of these guys and get a shot for a while now - luckily this one came into view whilst I was having my car washed !

I may replace this one, but some of the other transportation shots I had in mind weren't very good. American Airlines crammed my wife and me, along with 220 or so of our closest friends, into this long silver tube for eight hours from Honolulu to Dallas. It took a special form of transportation to bring all the gourmet food they would offer us at reasonable prices in the coach cabin.

(Photo replaced with a later entry)

Taken with the K-7 and Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8.

I found a photo I had forgotten in evaluating for the transportation challenge. I found this scene compelling. With all the automation in farming, including the conveyor belt transporting the pineapples to the truck, pineapples still have to be picked by hand. These farm workers are hard at it in a field about two miles from the famed North Shore of Oahu.

Photo taken with a K-7 and Tamron 70-300mm Di LD.

Default Prison Van

Took this in York, Maine. Woods to Goods (http://woodstogoods.com/ecommerce/index.php) is a store along the highway which sells products made by inmates in Maine prisons and they have this van outside near the road. It is a new location. Years ago the store was right outside the walls of the Maine State Prison which has since been torn down.
