I sharpen my own knives using Japanese water stones and was intrigued when i saw this chain:

Very nice series Kevin, Nice to see parts of Shanghai, This is one of the things I like best about this site, shots from around the world from people who are more than just strangers. I get to look through a lot of eyes week after week. I must find time contribute from this small town in Michigan I call home.

Jelpee - thanks ! I started taking shots of the chef making noodles from that dough and showed them to him, however they weren't brilliant so I asked him if he do it again so I could get the whole of the dough string into the shot - he was happy to oblige !

Thank you Gary - it's nice when people enjoy my shots. #2 - looks like modern art 'trees' to me !

Thank you Ordo - sorry your pic of a chain is not showing up for some reason.

Ordo - yes, I can see it now. I don't know exactly what it's for but I would guess stability ?
