Default B & W Conversion ?

I posted this photo from Rainbow Springs State Park, Florida, earlier. How does it work as a B&W.

Personally, I think it works really well in B&W.

Looks great in color and B&W, the b&w gives me the feel of an old b&w movie,
the time they still knew how to do lighting

I prefer the color version, but only because of the bit that's blown out at the bottom of the falls is more obvious in the b&w version and my eye looked at it first. I like the picture other than that, it's a beautiful location. The only way around the blown out problem that I can think of might be to shoot another, really underexposed shot and then used that part to replace the bottom of the falls.
