Default Problem with my K-x, please help!

When i take photos at a higher aperture, there is a small line on the right hand side that shows up clearer as i bring up the aperture. This occurs regardless of the lens i am using. Is this a problem with the shutter? Do i need to send this in to pentax for repair?

It looks like it is a hair, you may want to open up the shutter and hit the sensor with a rocket blower. DO NOT USE COMPRESS AIR.

That would be my thought, too - either dust or something like that on the sensor. Use a hand air blower, turn the camera so that the lens opening is facing down, then look for the menu option to lock up the mirror so you can blow air into the cavity (the camera being upside down means that any dust will fall out of the camera, rather than falling down to the bottom, with the potential that it will migrate back to the sensor). Does the Kx have the dust alert feature like the K20 and K7 has? If so, use it to confirm whether that's what it is (make sure you shoot a featureless sky or wall, otherwise you'll get false results. Fun results, but not helpful).

The K-x does have that feature.
