Default Green Cay Wetlands Odds n ends

Some varied photos from my trip last Tuesday.

1 - Roseate Spoonbill
2 - Night Heron (not sure what crest, immature)
3 - Great Egret
4 - Roseate Spoonbills, Tri-colored heron, Moorhen
5 - Black Necked Stilt

Another stunning set - that heron looks very like a bittern (I think) !

Thanks, I believe you are correct on it being an American Bittern. I have not photographed one before.

You still haven't! You were right the first time - it is a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron.

magnificent, the 4th with those reflections is my favorite, but all are great.

While #4 is the best of this series, in my opinion, I just love stilts for some reason. They are all nicely done.

Great series Ed!

Kevin, the Bittern and the juvenile Black Crown do look very similar.
At first look, its easy to confuse the two.
