Default Disco spider

Yesterday I noticed a small white dot racing over a leaf, so I took a closer look. (3:1 macro)

It was a small spider (crab spider I guess)

to get an idea of the size I took the tip of my ballpoint as a reference point

there wasn’t much color contrast,

so …

maybe …

if I place the spider on a cd …

and Disco Spider was born

after its performance I put it back on the shrub I found it.

the larger versions (3000px x2000px) are here http://rhermans.smugmug.com/keyword/discospider

Guess I was rather bored

Cheers

Ronny

Your recent fascination with dimunitive small creatures has resulted in some outstanding captures! The reference to the point of a pen really provides a perspective of the size. Creepy but cool!

Ronny, I think in all my posting over the last week and a half I overlooked this fantastic series.

Your macros never cease to amaze me. The disco one was brilliant. Also liked the ball point pen to give a size reference.

Another great set from Mr. Macro.
