All lovely shots but especially those of the Great Spangled Fritillary - just beautiful.

that first flower, i like all of your photos of it, but that first one, i like it the best. there's something about the way the color pops out from the green background, it just stands out to me. and, although i like being able to see the purple inside of the flower in your other shots, something about it being a hinted at secret (if that makes sense) fascinates me. so, good job. keep it up : )

The first shot of the Fritillary is a WOW! All nice captures.

You are blessed with an abundance of diverse flower and fauna to photograph.

The milkweed with fritillary is wonderful! Great shots. I envy all the choices you have of things to photograph. We've finally had some birds in our yard this week while I've been home. But, I can't manage my camera one-handed. So, I'll just continue to look at yours.

GW - Thanks so much. Fritillaries sure are pretty bugs!! Glad you liked the photos.

Ned - Thanks for your very kind words.

Penolta - Orchids are indeed amazing and strange plants, aren't they! So glad you liked the GSF too!

Ronny - Thanks for saying so - means a lot coming from you! Actually, I am just blessed to live in such a beautiful place. All I have to do is point the camera and press the shutter button...

Frogfish - Thanks so much!

Vole - Indeed! I really liked that view too, and spent some time fiddling with lens & tripod to get this angle, etc. (Glad that you agree that sometimes it's OK to take a non-macro of flowers.)

Lou - you are so right, I am indeed blessed!

Patty - So glad that these photos can bring you a bit of pleasure these days. Have you tried using a tripod or monopod, or even one of those clamp-pods? Might make 1-handed photography easier? Keep one enjoying those yard birds, and getting better!
