Default Wow, I can't believe some people's luck!

I stayed home today because I'm feeling rather sick. Regardless of how dizzy and nauseated I feel, I'm still bored just lying around so, I turned on the TV to watch the news. They just reported that some guy who purchased some glass negatives at a Fresno Ca. garage sale 10 years ago for $40...
has now discovered that they were from part of lost collection belonging to ...

Get this...

Ansel Adams! and its estimated to be worth as much as 200 million dollars!!!

Now I'm really sick, I was at that garage sale, and my wife said "you are not bringing that junk home!

Um, Kev, I'm not sure if you were taking the part about me being there, seriously or not so, I thought I better make it clear I was only joking about that part.

They may be Uncle Earl's photos, not Ansel Adams....

Interesting, but where is the proof that Uncle Earl took that photo? Maybe he got hold of an Ansel Adams print! He might even have known Adams and gotten it from him! After all, if Adams' wife catalogued his negatives, and it is her handwriting on the envelopes as claimed by a handwriting analyst, that is stronger proof than one woman's memory of an unsigned print, is it not? And the plates were supposed to have been lost after a fire destroyed much of Adams' early work, and some of the envelopes are singed (that could be faked, but is also datable by chemical means). One would expect Adams' heirs to contest the find, as that would destroy their monopoly on sales of his work. One would have to match some of the plates with previously published or signed and sold examples from the plates in question to know for sure. If none of them match known examples of Adams' work, then it certainly would be questionable.
