OK well the Expo series was my only chance this busy working month to get out there and so some HDR so here is my entry - ghosting included since it seems some people think it adds to the shot (thanks to those that replied in the other thread for helping me make up my mind) !

9 shots at 5 to 30 second intervals. ISO 100 & F8 with a Sigma 10-20 on a K7.

Last day to get those entries in !

It's September 1 so my vote goes to Th's sewing machine, with several others as close seconds.

Well TBH I found it really difficult to choose my personal favourite because the subject matter chosen was so varied and the results range from very subtle to the extreme.

However in the end my vote goes to Mole for his beautiful 'Japanese' ( ) landscape (that's what it reminds me of). There are really a lot of others I like ; Thk 777 's for the technical excellence, Ned's, Penolta's and others ! Some really interesting entries.

Hm, I think that's it for me:

Keltech is my (technical) favourite as I know the problems of such photos myself and on top - it's a panorama! Penolta is very close behind with his 2nd entry - I already posted something about that image, very nice work. Mole with his landscape is next - beautiful shot, not overdone etc. and it looks beautiful

Kind regards,
Th.

My vote goes to thnk77's sewing machine. It's close to an art photograph. Great use of HDR to get what you really see, but the camera can't pick up.

I'm going wit Mole's Roan Mt. I think the original would work better as a B&W. The HDR really opened the image up.

Hope you do not mind my B&W conversion of the original.

My vote goes to Mole as well - nice work. Landscapes seem to lend themselves to HDR more so than some other types of photographs. There were other good shots, too - I really liked Pboerger's last tweak of his entry, but he didn't indicate that he intended it as a replacement.

I think this month there were too many instances of multiple images from individuals. I think if someone changes there mind about an image they should edit out the old image and put in their final image, so there is only one image with an individual's name on it.

All that aside the image that I liked best was thkn777's old sewing machine. I not only liked the HDR but the overall composition of this old gem, I thought was extremely well done. If it were mine it would be hanging on my wall.

So tough to choose - such a diversity of views & methods, and such excellent results.
Will vote for the Sewing Machine...
