Very nice Paul...I always figured the Bigma to be the lens to capture subjects are great distances away. Your images make it look like a macro lens!! The clarity of the image of the 2 grasshoppers is amazing!

Sorry for the late response - been out on the trail a lot lately, and far from computers...
That Bigma sure is a wonderful macro - in your capable hands!!

Dragonflies look to me like (in order):
Great Blue Skimmer
Female Common Whitetail
Slaty Skimmer
Male Common Whitetail (sure looks different from the female!!)

A fine diversity of interesting "bugs!"
