Ok,
so I was playing around with all that HDR programs and settings and stuff and found a complete different "rendering" of the image I posted in the August monthly challenge. While I also like the color version, I think the black and white one is even better and fits the OLD sewing machine theme perfectly.

This is a HEAVY modification from the original picture. HDR created from the 3 RAW files, strong tonemapping effect to create a completely different light situation, underexposed to give that late evening feeling, added just a tad of a warm filter to emulate a somewhat dull and old b&w photo where the black color has "washed out" a bit already.

I like the changed and detailed look of the front metal plate, the rather natural (non-HDR) look and the overall feeling.

What do you think? Could you imagine to find that image in an old photo album?

Kind regards,
Th.
