Lou - Thanks so much!
By the way, do you see many black-shouldered spinylegs? We've had a huge hatching of them recently...

Harriet - So glad my photos encouraged you to visit the nearby park. Will look forward to seeing the results!

Dr. C - Thanks so much for your very kind & encouraging words. Glad you enjoyed these!

Mole the Black-shouldered Spineyleg unfortunately does not reach our area.

Hi Mole-

Three cheers for the two turtles! What camera was used?

Again what can I say, I really like all these pictures. You really capture the personality of the animals in each one, especially the deer photos. And so many amazing dragonfly pictures!!! You also make me really miss seeing the otters

I would say that the first picture of the turtles is my favorite, though. Are they doing something like cooling themselves off, or what, when they hold their heads up like that?

Lou - Thanks for the info - I am always fascinated with distributions of "critters."

Sarah - Thanks so much! Nice to hear from you again! All my photos posted here are taken with a Pentax K-M.

GW - Thanks so much. Be sure to let me know about your trip as plans develop. Perhaps we can get together for a good hike...

Blue Sky - So glad you enjoyed the animals. Will be glad to go visit there with you, next time you are up this way! The turtles were sunning - necks stretched out to soak up some sun and to dry off a bit...
