Will be busy sharing nature discovery with school children next few days, and so a bit less time to wander and photograph...

Hope you enjoyed this glimpse of the late summer meadow, and that your meadows are also rich in discovery!

Thanks for any comments, critique, etc.

these are great mole. the whole set is up to your usual high standard.

but that last shot of the butterfly coming in for a landing on the thistle. that is just spectacular, a really special shot and wonderfully timed.

Fantastic series, Mole. You have great talent, and must be blessed with a great job. I worked in a dirty factory for 38 years, and never considered bringing a camera on the job.

Again, an excellent series of images, the last one is incredible. I am impressed at how you manage all of your park duties and still have the time to post all of the images that you do. Certainly encouragement for people like myself to get out there and capture the beauty that is around us all.

Regards

Hey,
this is a great series! Focus is spot on, DOF mostly good/well choosen, sometimes a little shallow. Detail is nice and colors look quite natural on my TFT. I enjoyed browsing through your images!

My only complaint is the flash usage - I usually try to stay away from using flash to not hurt the animals eyes with too much light.

Regards,
Th.

flash will not cause damage to any eyes. for damage to any eye to occur the light must be focuses and sustained. not something to worry about
