A bad time to be starting this topic!

DA*16-50 or perhaps the DA 18-135 WR, if image quality is significantly better than the 18-55. I need the weather sealing. Disadvantage is that it doesn't have the focus clutch and is SDM only - I have the K100, not the K100 Super so could only manually focus it with that camera.
FA 31 (since this is a want list)
K5 or Kr or Kx (undecided which one)
TC of some sort
One of the CZ lenses, there's several I'd love to own
CS5 Production

Today I'm thinking about selling my DA*300. My shoulder is giving me all kinds of fits after going hiking yesterday with the 3N1-30. I'm seriously thinking that I need to downsize and this lens is so much larger and heavier than the A*300. It was the only reason I bought the big 3N1 bag - if I get rid of it I could also sell the 3N1-30 and go with a smaller bag that also offers the same ability to configure the shoulder straps. I'm NOT going to make a decision until after I hear what the specialist says next week, and I really, really don't want to sell it as I love the lens and would lose money on it.

"Just" a K-5 would do me just fine, but there are always lenses and things that I would find it hard to pass if I could essentially steal them for a great price.

I've got more lenses than I need, but if "a deal that I couldn't refuse" came up for a

DA 12-24
DA 16-50
A* or FA* 200 Macro
I'd probably bite, but the deal would have to be exceptionally good. . .

Also fun, and totally unnecessary for me would be

some of the CZ lenses as Harriet mentioned,

either the 50 or 90 Tilt and Shift Schneider Kreuznachs that were just announced -- I guess architectural stuff would get more interesting with a new toy to try out -- Living near Chicago, there would be a lot of stuff to shoot. . . Pretty good rationalization, huh?

any or all of the Pentax Ltds,

and the new DA 18-135 which is supposed to have the next gen in-lens-motor focusing -- "DC". This is rumored to be a Pentax patented motor design which is essentially a ring motor that can rotate quickly and stop very quickly at at a pre determined position. That, and WR might make this lens something of interest. Apparently the focus ring doesn't rotate with the motor, and the design retains instant MF capability. It's rumored to have better MF feel, maybe because of a coupling to the outer ring of the motor adding mass to the manual focusing ring. Here's a link to the patent description:

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20090323208.pdf

The K-5 will happen, probably at the first price drop from a reputable dealer. I'm sure we'll see some high ISO samples soon after the first early adopters get their cams. --

I want them all,

but ill settle for the sigma 12-24, or even the sigma 10-20

(Edit: I mean the DA 12-24)

Also, the tamron 90mm macro, this is actually in my price range but I am pushing myself to wait a lil bit, as I just spent more than my rent on one lens

Also the AFA 1.7X

and the AFA 1.7X

Did i mention the AFA 1.7x?

Can I borrow yours when you're done with it frogfish? Who'd you have to kill to get your hands on one of these

Ill give it back I swear

My list is pretty short - but ouch! -expensive.
  • A* or FA* 200mm f4 Macro
  • K5
  • A super wide rectilinear prime, like type 10mm. It's not even on the lens roadmap yet, but it won't be cheap when it comes.
  • A sturdier tripod with a Wimberley head.
Just spent my few savings on an FA 20mm f2.8 (it's in the mail, haven't touched it yet). My FA 28mm f2.8 AL thus is up for sale, I hope to regain some of what I spent on the 20mm. But the rest'll have to wait...

Ha ha - I'm not letting you anywhere near my house, the T90 and 10-20 are my most used lenses ! I'll get the AFA this weekend as my father is flying over from the UK.

My want list will start with a Pentax body. Once I have that I'll want a fast 300-400mm lens. Outside of that I'm probably set for now. 3 bodies, and a handful of lenses is about all I could carry anyway.
