Your WANT List :D

Following on from John & Harriet's lustful glances at the 77 & 31.

What are the lenses you realistically (sometime in the next couple of years) 'need' to complete your collection. Need should not be taken too literally :D

My Current Desires
(and there is a weekly fluctuation to this that I make no apologies for) !

1. Something in the 17-70 range, prefer 2.8 constant but there are some nice lenses with 2.8-4.0 or 4.0 constant too. I keep checking out 17-50s / 24-70s / 28-70s / 28-80s and so on.

2. DA*60-250 (I have my eye on one over here for $600 - however after my pocket's recent exertions it may take some time to get there. I'm thinking of selling the 43 Ltd to fund it, a used 43 goes for ca. $800 over here) !

3. DA*300 - do I really need this if I have the 60-250 ? :dontknow:

4. I just have to add the K5 don't I now.

I've just won an AFA 1.7x and a Tamron 500 55BB on EBay so that helps slake this weeks LBA :D

I still want something wide angle, so probably one of the 10-22/10-24/etc lenses.

I decided to buy a multigym rather than the lens (I think I was drunk at the time) to buff myself up for all the walking/hiking I will be doing in Japan, and just for general fitness.

Let's see:

DA* 16-50mm f2.8

DA* 50-135mm f2.8

DA* 60-250mm f4

All three of the FA Limited lenses.

Realistically the DA* 60-250mm may be the most expensive of this bunch but is probably the one I could make the most use of. I will probably end up with a DA 50-200MM F4-5.6 ED WR and a KX or KR which would give me a decent WR lens for my K10D and a new body for my current lenses.

Here is what I have with me.

What ?! You don't have a set of stairs ? And a young boy who likes nothing better than being lifted onto his father's shoulders ? (and put down, and lifted, and put down and .......).

Looks like Xmas could be a very expensive time in the Ira household !

Yeah the nipper is at the "workout" weight at the moment (nearly 6 years old), but it's mostly for exercising in the night, I used to work out in the gym a lot (before mortgage/child/etc) and would prefer using a multigym as that's what I am used to. Well really I would have prefered buying the wide angle lens, but the mrs gave me a rather stern look when I told her how much it cost. She had no issue with me spending the same amount on a multigym though strangely...

I can understand her concerns Ash. Your during and after pics suggest you need a workout mate ;)

Oooh you little tease, I can't see them from work!

Ah well will be home in an hour or so, will find out if I need to laugh or be offended (or maybe getting a restraining order)

Pentax K5, DA 300, 1.4 extender

Sorry to mention it here...but a FF Canon 5D Mk. 11, 17-40, 400 L...all Canon.

Yup two systems...no problem as I've run multi systems since about '81.

k5
battery grip
fa 77mm ltd (will settle for da 70mm ltd)
da* 60-250mm f4 or maybe sigma 70-200mm f2.8
