Default Big baby

Have posted some photos recently of our resident, not very shy immature Great Blue Heron. But noticed another immature heron at the park last week, and thought you might like to see what a "baby" Little Green Heron looks like. (All taken with Pentax A 70-210).

PS - the Heron told me to post a few more old barn & sky pictures, because GW likes them so much. These are just outside the park, not far from where the LG Heron has been hanging out...

Beauiful pix, Mole. In your forays into the back country over the years...ever come across some strange things...animals, buildings.....manufacturing establishments (stills..LOL).....

That baby is so lovely. Great shots.

Magnificent shots, especially from the baby, really like the catchlights in its eye(s)

Terrific shots of the baby heron. I love the barns as well.

Amazing how you can get such great pictures of the heron with a 210 lens, I wouldn't have thought you could get that close. Love the pictures, really lovely.

Hi mole,

Great series of Green heron shots!! You had to be really close for these at 210mm!

I've had GH let me get close, but nowhere near this -- I'd usually be shooting at at least 500mm and still get the whole bird in the frame, and then some. Very nicely done!
