Default Sunrise at the beach

I got up early one morning to try my hand at the "Golden Hour". I have never tried to capture a sunrise photo before, and was amazed at how the colors changed throughout the sunrise. Here are a couple of the pictures I managed to capture while shooting around a wedding photographer taking pictures of a young couple, and a lot of other shutter bugs jockeying for the same piece of sand to take pictures. It was a hoot.

Yes, there is dust. I have been very careful to always changes lenses with the lens pointed downward. I used photoshop on picture 5 to remove. I have now ordered the hurricane blower from B&H and am awaiting its arrival.

Thanks for any and all comments, suggestions, etc.

Bill

Very nice photos - great capture of the dynamic range, fine composition as well. Indeed it always amazes me too how quickly the light & color can change...

Great series! I especially like 3 & 4.

Have often pointed my camera at the setting sun, but never the rising sun. Guess I'm just too darn lazy to get up (plus I always seem to be on a west facing coast)

very lovely pics! I love how quickly your shots can change in such short time during these times, allowing you many different beautiful shots without much preparation work involved.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, but please feel free to critique. Tell me if there is something you may have done differently, composition, exposure, etc.

Thanks again,

Bill
