Default A tale of a tail

The previous squirrel threads were all taken under cloudy skies. The Marine Layer has finally departed and we are having a heat wave.

Penolta squirrels are a hoot. These are fine shots showing them doing what they do best, eat and hoard food to be stored for a later date.

Our squirrels are in a serious hording mode now with winter fast approaching. I have a couple of Oak trees that are producing large quantities of acorns. The squirrels and chipmunks are all over my yard harvesting them.

That squirrel sure has a wonderful tail! Your pictures really bring that out, what a fine fellow (or gal) your squirrel really is.

Thanks for the nice comments. My wife says every one has squirrel pictures, so I have tried to introduce a bit of humor with mine to make things interesting..
