Very nice, Mole. I really like the caterpillar shot!

I really like the second and last ones. If you crop the bottom of #2 so top and bottom are symmetrical IMO it would be even better, in spite of the fact that it would look like a Rorschach blot!

John P - Thanks for your kind words. For the butterflies, it helps to notice where they are nectaring and/or sunning, and wait until they come back to the same spot. It also helps to go slowly, and use a long lens (most of my butterfly shots are taken with the Sigma 70-300, some with the Pentax A 70-210). The caterpillars are a moth larva - I think it's one of the tussock moths, but not positive...

MtnMan - Our foliage is still mostly green, but looking forward to several weeks of cooler weather and maybe more autumnal tints soon. Will also look forward to seeing your autumn photos, as your time permits!

Ira - Thanks so much!

Harriet - Glad you liked them!

GW - Thanks! He sure is a cutey!

Lou - Thanks so much!

Penolta - Thanks for the suggestions! I tried various angles and crops on that shot, not sure if I like the symmetrical one or not... Will give it another look.
