Pentax K-7 and Fog

I think that the K-7 does a good job when photographing scenes under foggy conditions. I only wish I got here earlier in the morning when the fog was thicker... as now the sun is trying to break through.

All the best.

Beautiful - just the right touch of "foggy mystery!"
Especially fine colors & reflection on #1.

Hi Mole! And, thanks for your kind comments. Mind you, these photos are taken with a kit lens... I am looking forward to the day I get a prime or a better lens for my outdoor photos.

Thanks and all the best.

I really like #2. I think its the mistiness of the top and the clear contrast of the dock.

Really nice shots!

I remember waking up to the Gavoita fog horn when living in the outskirts of Santa Barbara - out in Goleta. The morning fog layer, the pea soup fog of Santa Maria (so thick you could not see the hood of your car when driving). Really kept things nice and cool in the summer.

Today is going to be 108 - again...

# 3....wish I'd taken that pix.

Les! Thanks. Hey, question, please, what about the foreground... Is there a little too much of the blurred dock on the right... I spent the longest time wondering if I could have cropped this better... still not sure... but glad you liked it.

I might have shot a number of the same pix ....but at different F stops....F 8- F16...also maybe a long timed release, @ F 16...ISO 100, on a tripod...but really that picture is excellent as it stands. I really like it. I spent the longest time wondering if I could have cropped this better... still not sure... but glad you liked it.

I like the way it is cropped. Finland's topography reminds me very much of the Canadian Shield country...which is about 90 minutes away from where I live....years ago, I recall a famous Finnish World Motorcycle Trials rider...commenting on the similarity of the two countrysides.

Very nice !

I'm spending a lot of time with my Finnish clients these last few days and tomorrow. They told me to pronounce your name eRtu ;)

Lovely shots! I disagree that you would have gotten better in thicker fog - too often I've been disappointed in my pictures taken under those conditions. Yours posted here are just about right - you have the feeling of fog but still some surroundings to give it mystery and form. I like them very much!
