I'm a bit slow going through the forum and late chiming in, but wanted to say just how much I like this shot - it's spectacular!

Thanks for the comment Mntgal
I know all about being slow with comments
it was quite a serendipity moment
initially we have driven past this beach, as it was hidden by sand dunes and i was hoping to see windsurfers further up the coast, there were no windsurfers but the sunset looked like it could be interesting and on seeing the Leeuwin anchored off shore but pointing right at us decided to take a chance and drive back to see if the angle was better

we were glad we did

thanks for the translation rhermans, there are a few Dutch names around WA thanks to early explorers

Gorgeous scene, and so well-photographed. A late but heartfelt thanks for sharing this!

Thanks Lou
it was one of the best sunsets i have seen

you will have to visit the "sunset coast" next time you are in oz

the leeuwin is usually in Perth over the summer months and a few months either side of summer
