USS Yorktown
I took a trip to visit the USS Yorktown this past weekend. The Yorktown is a WWII aircraft carrier that has been turned into a floating museum dedicated to Naval history including aircraft. Here are a couple pictures from the trip. Hope you enjoy. As always, please critique, comment and tell me what you would have done differently, etc.

The bow. I don't have a hood for the kit lens yet and picked up some lens flare.

I believe she is a Saratoga Class aircraft carrier. Very nicely capture. I really like the f/a-18 sunset shoot allot.

You have some really fine shots here. I particularly like #'s 4, 5 and 7.

Excellent photos. I especially like the shot of the bow.

I like the bow and the sunset on deck shots (the other sunset pic is nice too, but more ordinary). The bow is impressive, really like the way you did that one. I had the opportunity to tour the Midway, another aircraft carrier museum that's in San Diego. I never thought of shooting something like that, wish I had thought of it.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.

The bow shot was taken from a ferry that runs out to Fort Sumter. Honestly, it was dumb luck. I happened to walk out to the bow of the ferry to take a picture of my son as we entered the "harbor". So I took a couple shots of the Yorktown. Right place, right time.

I can't believe no one can find anything to critique though. Are we being nice to the new guy? If you were in my shoes as I took these pictures, what would you be thinking about? I'm basically fumbling through this and would love some insight into other photographers thought processes. I've seen all your work. Everyone's pictures are beautiful, sharp, wow! I'm blown away by most.

Thanks again.

Some really nice and different perspectives. Like others, I especially enjoyed the bow and the deck sunset.

Did you use a polarizer for the shots with lots of sky? Might look nicer with the richer blue that a polarizer gives. Also, be sure to be careful about having the horizon divide your photo at the exact center - rule of thirds often works well for horizons too.

The shots are a little tilted. They can be straighten a bit. ;)
