Default A Musical Show in Sri Lanka

Hi,

I had the chance of going to a musical show having the hits of the 70's (I was not even born then . As there has been recently many talks about the performance of the Kx in the Pentax community, I thought this as an good chance to test it out. I was seated around 40 feet away, and therefore had to use the DA 55-300mm zoom, most of the times at full zoom, and also had to limit Shutter speed between 40-60 (Can u believe that!! :-O ), because of the very low ambient light --> Which gave the performances a nice look , but the photographers hell . I kept the iso at 1600 constantly.

For your benefit not much post processing was done, only did minor color balancing and then resized. No software was use to reduce graining.

Hope you enjoy the photos, I know my fellow sri lankans abroad will know these singers well :-)

These are pretty amazing in my book. I could never get those results with my K-20. Nice job.

That K-X sure does well in these tough lighting conditions. And you did a great job capturing the mood and the action!
