Ah if only financial resources were unlimited

For me it is all about where I allocate the resources. The latest bodies are tempting, but I've been good about spending the money on good glass which tends to outlive the bodies. I've also allocated monies to fulfilling my deisre to travel and also use my photo gear (usually 2 trips a year). As Ira says, they are all "wants" and that makes it fun. However, it is a continuing struggle on which wants to fulfill. For me, camera bodies are lower on the list than quality lenses and travelling.

Do I "need" one of the new cameras? No. I have yet to learn everything there is about the K20D. But, the video, little bit larger LCD monitor, little bit lighter/smaller, embed copyright data sure are enticing. Especially the video since that's what took me so long to finally break down and buy a dSLR back in 2006. I'd been looking and looking for one with video and finally realized no one made one.

Do I need one? No. Do I want one? Yes. But, the K5D is definitely out of my price range. So, will I get one? Not right now.

I am still trying for a K20D, it would make a fine partner for my K10D.

In lenses I have everything from 10mm to 300mm covered so a second camera body is on my wish list.
