The Sunbeam has been likened to the Shelby Crobra, in power and handling.
I wish I had gotten more photos...

American Motors never really made it in the automobile market in spite of the effort. The only car that ever came close to amounting to anything was the AMX in 1969. It did have pretty nice styling.

The 56 Chevy pick up was a real classic in its own right.

This 56 Buick isn't really blue, its purple but we'll stick it here
anyway.

I wonder who would win in a head on crash with a Hummer?

I went to a car show in Stratford Ontario this past weekend hoping it would look like this. For those who don't know, they do shakespearean plays all the time there, there's a beautiful river and the whole town is upscale. i was thinking I'd see cars on grass with the river as the backdrop. Nope. Just another parking lot. Very disappointing. Thanks for taking the time to pp and post these blue cars. I look forward to the rest of your colour wheel.

Wow again... Looks like a great show. Was this in Winter Haven or maybe somewhere between there and Jacksonville? :-)

GW....the car shows in your area have some unique vehicles that are rarely seen. As a gearhead, I can say you're a lucky fellow to have such a wealth of automotive finery available.

I'm envious.

Thanks for all the comments, guys.

Ira, That's the first time I can recall seeing a buick like this one. When I first spotted it through some trees and other objects, I thought it was a Chevy Nomad. It really is a beautiful car.

Osnap, It was in Lakeland, The Lake Mirror Classic.

Les, You're absolutely correct sir, I've seen cars here I never heard of before!
